Baturraden

·         Location

Baturraden is located in the south of Slamet Mountain, Banyumas, Central Java. It is the north Purwokerto city. The location is in the mountain, which is why Baturraden has fresh air. This tourism can be reached about 25 minutes from Purwokerto City in 1000 meters upper the water. This area provides hotels and inns which makes the visitor easier to enjoy place. Baturraden has special food that sells in the area it is rabbit satay. You will not be hungry if you get there.

·         Spots in Baturraden

1.      Pancuran Pitu

Pancuran pitu it consists of two words pancuran (fountain) and pitu (seven). It means pancuran pitu is fountain or bathing place that contains sulfur. It is believed that sulfur can heal skin disease.

 

2.      Pancuran Telu

Just like Pancuran Pitu, Pancuran Telu almost has the same meaning but Telu it means three. It is also bathing place unfortunately the content of sulfur is not as much

as in the Pancuran Pitu. Pancuran Telu is located in the bottom of Pancuran Pitu.

3.      Camping Ground

This camping ground is often used by scout or some people who want to enjoy and challenge the adrenalin with out bond.

 

4.      Kaloka Widya Mandala Zoo

In Kaloka Widya Mandala Zoo, you can see some unique animals from many species like cow with five legs, goat with three legs, elephants, beruk, crocodile from Papua, phyton snake, Kasuari bird, monkey, porcupine, iguana, Cendrawasih bird, bat, Kate chicken, Mutiara chicken, Orang Utan, bald eagle, deer. In this educative place, there is an extinct animal museum like Sumatera tiger, honey bear, puma.
